Youth Programs

For students who are enrolled in public school in the Roanoke Valley or Alleghany Highlands, we offer programs for those interested in learning about opportunities that are available after graduating from high school.

Starting as early as middle school, you can participate in activities including:

  • mentoring
  • cultural workshops
  • guidance in class selection
  • SOL and SAT preparatory classes
  • workshops in both financial aid and college life
  • college campus tours

Programs are offered in the following school districts:

  • Roanoke City
  • Roanoke County
  • Salem
  • Botetourt County
  • Covington
  • Alleghany County
  • Craig County

Some participants may also qualify for SAT fee waivers, college fee waivers, and special scholarship opportunities.

Since our programs are coordinated with each school, we encourage you to ask your school principal or guidance counselor about the TAP programs, like Project Discovery, offered at your school.  You may also contact us by completing the form below to get more information.
