Group Volunteering

TAP offers tons of group volunteer opportunities. By working with a group, you won’t just help others in your community. You will also build relationships through service. When people work together for the good of others, the result is meaningful for all involved.

Who Can Be in Your Group?

At TAP, we welcome all types of groups. Whether it be a business, church group, civic club, or a group of friends, anyone can help.

Do you need volunteer hours for your class or club? TAP also allows high school and college student groups!

Giving your time to a cause like TAP’s can improve morale and empower your group. We know that it’s important that you enjoy your role and find it fulfilling. We are happy to work with your group to find the best service for you to engage in. At TAP, we value your time and set your group up for success. Whether you are students or business executives, we have you covered.

Our Goals:

  • Work with each group to decide the service role that best fits their members’ interests or their company’s philosophy.
  • Create or find a group volunteer opportunity to fit that role.
  • Work with the group representative to finalize all details of the project.
  • Provide group training and support as necessary.
  • Follow up with the group and ask for feedback.

If you’ve decided to volunteer at TAP, then kudos to you! The next step is to have one person from your group fill out our Group Volunteer Application form. Once submitted, our staff will contact you. You will discuss the needs, interests, or goals of your group and we will find the group volunteer opportunities that are right for you.

By volunteering with TAP and signing the Volunteer Agreement Form you are consenting to your information being collected and stored for the purposes of volunteer engagement. TAP is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information of all stakeholders in the organization including volunteers. TAP will not provide names and contact information of volunteers to other organizations or companies without prior explicit consent except to the extent required by law.

GROUP VOLUNTEER POLICY

Please make certain you have read and agree to the following before signing. • Group Volunteers must identify a Group Contact prior to the start of a project who will serve as the group leader and be responsible for the safety and well-being of all group members. The group contact agrees to: 1. Provide coordination and supervision for the group while volunteering at a TAP site. 2. Ensure all members adhere to TAP rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. 3. Report to TAP any behavior, actions, or language inappropriate for the established activity, location, or group which may endanger the health and/or well-being of the individual, other group members, or clients. • Youth aged 18 years and younger may volunteer in accordance with certain guidelines. A responsible adult must accompany volunteers under the age of 18 at all times during the period of volunteer service. Volunteers under the age of 18 must present the Group Contact with a signed Parental Consent Form which TAP will provide.

AUTHORIZATION AND AGREEMENT BY APPLICANT

I certify that the facts set forth in this volunteer application are true and complete to the best of my knowledge. I understand that any false statement, omission, or misrepresentation in my application or placement interview may result in the rejection of my application or discharge from the volunteer program. I understand that certain volunteer positions at TAP require a complete criminal/sex offender and/or CPS background screenings at TAP’s expense and if my volunteer position requires such, I agree to submit to such screenings.
