Covington Clothing Closet

The Clothing Closet, also known as the Second Chances Clothing closet, is a volunteer-run resource in Covington, Virginia that provides free clothing to any community member in need.  

At each appointment visitors can select:

Women’s Clothing

  • 1 pair of shoes (if available)
  • 1 accessory
  • 6 pieces of clothing
  • 1 pair of shoes (if available)
  • 1 suit
  • 4 pieces of clothing

Children’s Clothing

  • 1 pair of shoes (if available)
  • Infant – 2 pieces of clothing
  • Toddler – 3 pieces of clothing  

Men’s Clothing

  • 1 pair of shoes (if available)
  • 1 suit
  • 4 pieces of clothing

Household and misc. items are occasionally available—please call to inquire about our available items.

HOURS:

In-person clothing closet hours (by appointment only): Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Due to COVID-19, only one visitor is allowed per appointment. Masks must be worn upon entry to the TAP office. Visitors can also find out about other TAP programs while visiting the closet.

HOW TO HELP:

For those interested in contributing items, please call to arrange drop off. The clothing closet is particularly in need of children’s clothing of all sizes.
