DESCRIPTION:The Summer Food Service Program is providing free meals for kids every Thursday from June 3 – August 5! \nJoin us once a week to pick up shelf-stable meals for your kids\, for free\, at the TAP office in Covington\, Virginia. \nMeals will be provided every Tuesday on a first come\, first served basis. Meals are for children ages 1-18 (or persons 19-22 enrolled in an IEP). There are no eligibility requirements for this event\, but families must complete a registration form. Meals must be picked up by a parent or guardian.\n\nWhen and Where:\n\nEvery Tuesday from June 3 until August 5\, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.\nTAP Covington Office\n118 S. Lexington Ave.\nCovington\, VA 24426\n\n\n\nFind us on facebook to share the word about free meals for kids.\n\nFor more info\, call: 540.962.6328.\n\n\nFor safety reasons related to the pandemic\, only drive-through pickup and walk-up pick up will be available.\n\nThis event is provided through a community partnership of Feeding America Southwest Virginia and Total Action for Progress. Call us at 540.767.6094 or email tapheadstart@nulltapintohope.org to find out more.   \nWhat You Will Need to Enroll in Head Start\n\nTo complete intake\, a Head Start staff member will request the following documentation: \n• Verification of income – One of the following: W-2; paper copy of 2 current pay stubs; letter on letterhead from your employer stating the hours you work and pay rate; school or training schedule; proof of SSI or TANF; or child support documents. \n• Verification of birth – One of the following: birth certificate or birth letter from the hospital; paternity papers; baptismal papers; or I-94 Form. \n• Physical & immunization records – Please bring for each child.
